check engine light on/injector

ok so i bought some neon injectors and am going to swap them over, well today i took off the connector sensor thing to one of the injectors and started it to see what it would do. i kept the stock ones on for now cuz i had to go to work (was just looking and messing) when i connected it back, my check engine light wont go off..................... how do i turn it off? shouldn't it just go off? (take battery connections off)????

you need to drain the stored power in the brain
disconnect the battery over night
of you can just give it some time after you start it 50 plus times the light will go off if it is on from a code from the injector bing disconnected
