Check engine light comes on

The check engine light comes on. Then the engine will quit for a moment ( like no power ). Can still drive but it's seems worse at times. Then the battery light came on. Turned key to off back on battery light went off. pressed brake batt light came back on . Turned key off back on light went off. Can a bad alternator cause this problem?

My codes are. 12 I think this is normal, 41 ? and 17 .
Sure don't like the possibility of buying a PCM/ECM.

Code 41-Charging system circuit-output driver stage for generator field does not respond properly to the voltage regulator control signal.
Does this indicate that the pcm is bad?

Problem solved. Checked the field winding signal out of the computer and it was fine around 11.6 volts. The output of the alternator was 0 volts. Took it to the auto store they checked it and it was bad! replaced it and all it well for now. The battery checked out ok and I charged it for a bit at around 2 amps.
