Check engine light

Check engine light
I changed the instrument cluster to a full gauge set and now I have a check engine light on. Since the 93 does not have an OBD2 port, how do I check engine codes?

What year XJ did you source for the cluster? I see you have a 2.5. Was the cluster from a 4..0?

I’m not sure exactly what year and since most YJ’s are 4.0 I could assume it is. A gentleman in Maryland bought this cluster for his 87 YJ, and of course it wouldn’t work. I found one out of 86 and we swapped.
EVERYTHING PLUGGED RIGHT IN, AND I’M BUYING AN OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT FOR GAUGES. THERE WAS TWO LAMPS, NOT INSTALLED WHEN I RECEIVED THIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, AND I PUT LAMPS IN WHERE THEY WERE MISSING ON THE LEFT SIDE, WHERE ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS AND LIGHTS ARE LOCATED
PARTON THE CAPS. I GUESS I WAS SPEAKING TOO STRONGLY, LOL
