That's a pretty good price. The 5 qt jug of Castrol GTX (which is what I use) at Wal-Mart is $14.50 alone. I picked some up from Auto Zone Friday night for about the same price as you're paying. Although, I didn't know the 4.0L took 6 qts at the time.....haha....

cant get much cheaper than that, i think autozone just had a sale (its over now tho) for 5 quarts of penzoil high mileage and a filter for $18.99, usually i just go to walmart.

yes 6 quarts, if you can get the GTX and a pure one filter for under $20 do it. Its not bad oil, and for that price its a good deal.
However if you are paying full price for oil, full synthetic is cheaper in the long run than dino oil. and the high milage stuff is a joke.
Its less than double the price, but most of the time can safely be run in an engine for twice as long. 7,500mile change intervals aren't uncommon when running full synthetic oil. Its less likely to sludge and there's a whole list of other reasons that using full synthetic makes more sense.

I agree with Zach, although the up front cost of full synthetic is higher. My step dad has used Castrol GTX for years...he just rolled over 500,000 miles on an original motor...2.2L 4 cyl 5-spd car. I haven't had any issues with Castrol, and for the price, it's in my opinion the best.
