Cheap 4.0 horsepower increase
I have a 2000 xj sport and i want it to put out some more power but i dont want to spend a ton of money. WhAt is the simest way to gain power ( a meaner sound would be nice also), a cold air intake, exhaust system, etc. Any simple DIY projects? Thanks

i would start with the rustys performance package

This will give you the sound and a moderate HP increase. I notice the difference when I'm going up hills where before I would down shift and now I just keep going right to the top.

The Rusty's kit isn't worth the expense.
Throttle body spacer are a waste of money on an MPI engine. You're better off opening up the bottom of your throttlebody.
K&N? NEVER!!!!! AEM Brute orce flows better and cleans better...hands down!

Relocate your manifold air temp sensor into the airbox or the air tube.
Flowmaster muffler....Yep!
