door question!
I was wondering if anyone knows how I could make the doors on my cherokee removable like a wrangler? Or where I can go to buy some hinges to do this maybe?

Reese search there has been a couple of ppl who have done this but I can't recall who specifically. You might PM Whowey as he has a doorless rig and I'm unsure if he made it as a permanent doorless rig or if the doors are reinstalled as desired by him?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I checked out the link but I really am tryin to think that maybe if you bought some door hinges from a wrangler could you mount them on your cherokee and make it work. I figure it would take some skill but it could be done. What does everyone think?

Wrangler hinges are not designed to carry the weight of an XJ door. So even if fabbed to work they are too light weight to sustain that much weight for any extended time.

either "a" use a dremel to make a couple cuts, or "b" fabricate a way to make wrangler hinges work, beef up your fender and door, make it look like crap, and possibly fail.

It was just an idea, just tryin to think of better way to be able to remove and install doors. Without the door losing its seal or saggin. But I guess it will be the price to pay to ride with no doors.

Was thinking of the cloth or canvas doors not the metal roll up window type of doors. Never compared the weights but have picked up a few XJ doors and consider them pretty heavy especially the 2 door doors.
