cb question

whats a good entry point for the antenna wire i would like an exsisting one instead of drilling a new one.

Where are you mounting the antenna? Most common place is right above the tail lights and just run the wire between the tailgate and the body.

I mounted mine on the left side by the tail lights on the body and then ran the wire between the tail light and body at the top. No leaks and is not in the way when you open you liftgate

mine is on my roof. Its a magnetic walmart type. My cb is mounted inbetween my visors. the cable goes up inside of the headliner, down the inside of the a pillar behind trim, out the hole for power door mirrors/speakers, back up the a pillar on outside but under the rubber windshield trim and right out at the top to the roof.

But, i'm going to hard mount a new one on the rear somewhere.

Now when you guys mount the antenna above the tail light how do you prevent the antenna from hitting the rear of the jeep alot? I would think on a bouncy road that antenna would beat the hell out of your hatch...

Motion Offroad has a mount that I think you could make
that mounts to your tail light screws or something >

The most efficient mobile antenna is the 102" whip.

Never thought of that and since I really would only want a CB for trips or off road I guess I could just remove the antenna when not in use to prevent it from looking funny.

Thanks...
