Default cant get any spark

I took a 1994 grand cherokee motor that was running out and put it into my 1999 cherokee and now i cant get it to run i cant get any spark. I only used the block and head from the grand and bolted everything from my 99 motor on it. does anyone have any idea why i cant get spark. Do you think i might need to change the ECM.

So you retained all the electronics- coil, distributor, etc from the 99? Are you getting power to the coil when you turn the key?

Sure you have the cam sensor in correctly?

yes i used all the electronics from the 99 and i could get power to the coil when the key is first turned but then it would go away as soon as the jeep started to turn over. So i went ahead and triend changing the computer and it fired up but i had low oil preasure. So i changed the computer back just to see what would happen and it still fired right up and ran great even the oil preasure went back to normal so im not really sure what was going on.

The cam sensor is under the distributor cap on pre-99 models, and it takes the place of the distributor on post 99 models.
