I got another question that I need answered kinda fast cause my XJ is my daily driver.anyways I have a 2000 XJ and I put the a 98 start on it cause I thought it was already modes to fit the 98 starter. Anyways can someone tell me which wire goes where on this starter. I'll have too cut some of the wires and add eye rings to them.here are pics of what I have going on.

This wire is a big red wire that is hot wire.

This wire is a black skinny wire I believe it's a ground but I'm not sure.

This wire is coming from the top.I'm really not sure if it goes to the starter but I don't think it does since it's full of mud and is too short to reach anything on the starter.

Here is the new starter I got which has 3 studs on it.

The red wire goes to one of the big studs,the black wire goes to the solenoid terminal.
That connector I beleive is for the under the hood light.The ground is the starter itself.
