That's not the right hose. Should have a service port right when it comes out of the back of the compressor as the other person has posted.

I don't think any hoses on Cherokee for AC were routed that way.
Do you even have a AC condenser?
I only see possibly two lines which looks like they both run from compressor to firewall.
