I know I'll need tires by end of summer, just need to know if I need to save for new wheels too.

i would say yes, but it depend on how wide you go. most are 11.5 which will be borderline to wide for the 7s but still do able

You'll be fine!! I'm running 33x12.5 on 7" rims, and it's great. I've had no issues at all with this set up. I actually like the wheel being tucked into the tire more, it seems to be better protected from rocks. HTH!!

Could just be a matter of my opinion but I would never run a tire wider than 11" on a 7" rim. Many tire installation shops won't even install tires this way do to the safety risk.

Does anyone run 33x12.5x15 on 15x8's? That would be the same theory.
