Default can i fix radiator or just buy a new one?

Recently looked out at where my XJ is parked and saw a puddle under it. I drove it around town and parked it in a diff spot. Looked out and there it was again under it in the same spot. Popped the hood, overflow line was hanging there. Somehow, i guess the overflow tube coming off of the fill neck deteriorated and fell off. Now there is only 1/4" of hard material to try and get it back on. Not going to work. Is there a fix(i doubt) or should i just buy a new one?

Damn. Might as well get a new one if it's falling apart like that.

Yeah buy new this way you have no headaches.Unless it was for a really rare car and was hard to come by or was very expensive.

Default Radiator

Just replaced my OEM with a CSF 3-row from Radiator Barn. Perfect fit & all brass/copper. Very pleased.

Sorry to hijack I just don't want to start a new thread for something I couldn't find on a search. I'm planning on swapping my rad for a CFS 3 row and I was wondering if I could cut out the problematic quick release clips on the transmission line and use high pressure rubber hose with clamps if I run into problems and get frustrated, which I do very easily.

I'm sorry to post that question in here. Idk why I've never noticed the "ask questions thread" on here. I'll stick to that one when I can't find what I'm looking for.

take a bigger piece of hose, slide it over the overflow hose and slide it on the fat part..should be fine, it is not under pressure or anything.

or you could take like 3 inches of brake line, slide it in your overflow hose and it should fit right in the hole for now. then you should just get a new bottle.

i found a 2 row all metal from radiator barn for 132 shipped with lifetime warranty, i know it doesn't say anything about aluminum but i think it would be better than plastic. i would love to just put a 3 row aluminum rad in but i don't really have the money for that
