I'm freaking out! Bad knocking sound coming from my engine. It used to do it when my jeep was cold but now it's nocking all the time. The higher the rpm the faster the knocking...

It could be a number of things, from something as simple as low engine oil level to a stuck hydraulic valve lifter to something much more serious, like a connecting rod cap about to let loose.
Where is the knocking coming from? Take a long screwdriver, put it against different parts of the engine while letting the handle rest against your head near your temple. The knocking vibration will be communicated through the long screwdriver to your skull and you will be able to better figure out where it originates from. If you listen to the valve cover and the knocking is faint, but when you touch the engine block it's real loud, you have a problem. (You can also use a mechanics' stethescope, sort of similar to what doctors use, to do this.)
Because it's worse when the engine was cold, I suspect a bad hydraulic valve lifter. Has the engine lost power?
