A/C Option to Stock?
 

Well, I'm poor & sore, just had a 3 level fusion and petty limited as to what I can work on with my 98 Sport. So, I don't have a lot of bling and have a best price of $ 1,000.00 to replace under dash evaporator. Has anyone ever by passed their original system with different parts, ie: evaporator?
I don't know why it wouldn't be possible but can't find where anyone has done it. I really don't have the bucks or capability to pull the dash out but MUST have A/C as well as heat. Compressor seized up a couple of years ago miles from anywhere, put a new one on figuring that would solve it. Had it refilled and empty in 2 days.
Have checked everything under hood and all is good. I have great heat but no A/c so I'm pretty sure I know where problem is. Also, did dye test and nothing going on under the hood.Anyone got any ideas besides pulling the dash?
