A/C Clutch will not Engage
I have a 1989 Jeep Comanche with factory air that I have never been able to get working. I know my condenser and lines going to the condenser are shot but I have been trying to get the clutch to engage before I even go about spending all that money on a condenser, drier, o-rings, lines, and refrigerant. I have read everything I can find on the subject.
If I apply power directly from the battery it will engage the A/C clutch.
-I have tried jumping the low pressure switch
-I have tried jumping the relay
-I have tried different A/C settings
-I have tried swapping the relay
All of which to no avail.
Additionally, relay pins 30, 87 and 85 all have 12 volts going to them. 86 does seem to be functioning as a proper ground.
What else should I try?

So I have already gone through the basic test procedures listed above.
I have power going to the striped green black wire going to the low pressure switch. If I jump that wire to the solid green wire on the same pigtail the clutch does not engage.
I checked to see what pins on the relay were getting power when the A/C switch was turned to max. Pin 30, 87, and 85 seemed to be getting 12v even without the relay present (weird) and the ground, when checked with the 12v battery source it was only showing 2v. I am wondering if I may have a weak ground going to that relay? Any ideas?

Alright well I got it to work. Their was quite a bit of corrosion on the power wire to the A/C compressor. Cleaned that out and it worked fine.
