A/C backlight?
 

I have a 95 xj and when i bought it alot of the panel lights were burnt out and i replaced them. My dad had an older 92 xj and he swears the A/C panel had a backlight on his. Is there a backlight or not?

My AC doesn't work! I dunno!

I want to say my heater / ac control dosent have a backlight
(i dont have ac either)

Yea, I got no ac.. Never seen a backlight either.

I believe it does, on the right side on the back of the control unit.

Absolutely the heater/AC control has a backlight. Right where XJ Wheeler says it is.

not on my jeep lol. might be time for me to check bulbs since its all apart in that area anyways. lol

I just had my dash apart cause I was wiring up a set of Hella Fog lights.
While I had it apart I replaced all the burnt out backlights. There is definately 1 for the AC/Heater controls. It is on the far right of the panel.
be careful, cause you can't pull the heater panel out very far, and the little sockets for the backlights break easily(I broke 2)
The replacement bulbs are Sylvania #74 bulbs.
I epoxied the sockets back in place with some putty.
Now all my dash lights work, and I mounted my switch for the fog lights right next to the switch for my rear window defroster.

night pic of the A/C lights? noticed those when i tore my A/C apart last summer, really didnt know if it was worth the time to tear it back apart again.
