Bulb 658
 

Good evening to all. I am trying to find a suitable replacement for bulb number 658. This bulb is located in the transmission and transfer case shifters. When you turn the lights on in the Cherokee, it lights up the transmission and transfer case numbers. I have looked everywhere but nobody has this bulb in stock. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement for this bulb? By the way this is for a 1999 Cherokee Sport.

Bulb number 194 is the same thing. I use it in my shifters. Never had a problem. The number is interchangeable with quite a few other bulbs.

Check this site out. It's for LED replacements for your entire vehicle (I believe it should already be set for a 99 Cherokee)

X2 on the leds. Just upgraded all my dash and interiors to led. Recommend ebay for buying the leds. You can get alot of them for cheap.

Sylvania makes an LED 194 in at least 3 different colors, probably the most reliable of them to choose from and Walmart carries them.
