D35 U-Joint replacement recommendations
Well I have Tweety Bird trapped under the front of my XJ and he has started tugging on my steering wheel when I make turns into parking spaces. So I figure it is time to replace the front U-Joints.
O'Reilly's has both Master Pro and Precision but not sure if these are good. Is Precision also a Fedreal Mogul brand?
I figure I will go with the greasable units unless that would just be wasted extra expense on something that is still stock.
I will be looking around town for the Spicer units also, anyone know the correct Spicer size for a stock 85XJ?
Thanks a bunch for any help.

Precision, MOOG, and NAPA u joints are typically all Federal Mogul.
Spicer greasable are usually available at Car Quest. 5-153X for the driveshafts.
Spicer non-greasable are usually online only, i.e. Rock Auto, Amazon. 5-1310X for the driveshafts, 5-760X for the wheels.
The Spicer non-greasables were original equipment on my 01 XJ and they tend to last almost forever. The only one I've changed on mine is the front left at the wheel at 288,000 miles. It started making rust and caused a little vibration.

It is the front left on mine also. It only has 150,000 miles but it sat for nearly seven years before I bought it so I imagine that wasn't too good on it. Plus it is twenty nine year old grease inside them

Sounds like your IP address has been blocked.
This happens to spammers, hackers, and folks that create bogus accounts (those screw up my customer database....so I block anyone that does it.)

Comparing to the Manual I don't exactly see how the piece with the U bolts fits on the outer portion.
