Bronco II or Ranger Manual hub outers on an XJ???

Have any of you guys ever heard of or tried yourself to put Ford Bronco II or Ford Ranger Dana axle outers with the manual lock out hubs on an XJ front Dana 30???? I was just wondering if that could possibly work. I'm at the point where I would try just about anything to put manual lock out hubs on my XJ without having to pay the crazy price Warn charges for their kit. Please post up with any threads on this moification or if you have any experience with trying it yourself. Please post pics if any are available.

Back from the dead..

I'm starting to look into building my D30 next year. And seeing as I don't trailer my rig I want manual lock outs. It will put the weak link at a easier to get to location.

I'm looking at both the CJ D30 to modern D30 conversions and the BII/Ranger to XJ D30 conversions. Any and all links to info about these options would be greatly helpful.

Any thing that keeps the price down from the Warn kit is what I'm looking at.
