Broken wire near lower radiator hose. Where's it supposed to go?

Broken wire near lower radiator hose. Where's it supposed to go?
My wife's 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country had a small hole in the upper radiator hose. I decided to replace both the upper and lower radiator hoses. When I replaced the lower radiator hose I noticed a wire that was no longer connected. It is a single red wire that is located near the two wires that connect to the fan by the lower radiator hose. Does anyone know what this wire used to be connected to? Thanks.
