Broken valve cover bolt
I was changing my valve cover gasket and was tightening the bolt at the front, closest to the mechanical fan, and it broke in half. I can't remove the bolt shaft--it will probably need to be drilled out with one of those special bits.
Question: in the meantime, can I drive it? It doesn't seem to be leaking oil where the bolt is missing. If it does start to leak, will it be a slow seepage situation? Or a violent, pressurized spray that will shoot straight into my fan and throw oil everywhere?

It will most likely be fine. Just inspect it occasionally. You may find that it leaks a little more when things get up to temp/pressure. But it should not come spraying out.
The bolt could probably be removed with a small drill bit and a good quality easy-out. But if you are unsure, any good shop should be able to remove it for you for a modest amount.
