Default Broken upper shock bolts 97+?

I have seen all of the post where people drop bolts through from the top when there rear upper shock bolts break, but I am having some trouble on my 98. There seems like even through the access panel there is not enough room from the bolt hole to the bottom of the rear floor to drop the bolt in. It seems there is only about a 1/2" gap there, definitely not enough to get a 1" bolt through..

I've tried pulling it through, magnet etc. Is there something different with the 97+?

Try using a small piece of stranded wire, wrap it around the threads and maybe a small wrap of electrical tape.

I always used a telescoping magnet. Works every time.

The wire method worked best for me.
