Broken track bar bolt

Bought a 2000 Jeep Cherokee for my son a couple of weeks ago. I am in the process of lifting it with a 4.5 inch Rough Country lift kit. I broke the bolt head off of the bolt where the track bar bolts on to the axle housing. There is not enough room on the backside to punch it through. Any suggestions out there to get it out?

Is there enough room to a sawsall blade in between the trac bar and mounting bracket and cut the bolt off?

I did the same thing replacing my trackbar. I used an angle grinder with cutoff wheel in between bracket and trackbar to cut the bolt. Once through, the flag and nut fell out the back and trackbar to the ground.

Sawzall worked for me but you need really good bi-metal saw blades. That bolt is pretty hard!

4" grinder with a cut-off wheel. Watch your wrists!

The nut on the backside of my bolt is striped, so I will probably have to cut my bolt off too to because I can't tighten the trackbar enough. Let me know what you end up doing. I am thinking a sawza is the best bet, but the bolt is grade 8.

Thanks for all the input. I went to my local 4 wheel drive shop today, Tom's 4x4 in Welcome, NC, and desided to let them do it. I have spent the beter part of 3 days cutting bolts due to the corrosion. I haven't even started on the rear yet. For the price, it is worth my sanity and aggravation. I hate to be defeated though! I am sure that there will be more projects in the near future. I did install a new stereo and speakers and was successful. According to Best Buy, I saved about $400.00. Now he want a sub woofer and amp. Looks easy enough. Again, thanks! This site has been real helpful.
