broken light switch
So i let my buddy borrow my jeep for a bit and when he brouht it back somehow he had broken the **** for my headlights. By that I mean the back piece that holds the **** in place so now it just hangs there making it very difficult to turn the lights off without holding the piece still from under the dash. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this

Get a new headlight switch from Jeep and replace it if the switch itself is bad now.
If it's just the keeper that screws into the headlight switch, through the dash, and behind the headlight **** & shaft, go to a salvage yard.
Remove the headlight **** and the keeper from both the donor Jeep and yours, and swap it out.
You do not need to remove the dash bezel for this in most cases up through '96. You might remove and move out of the way the lower dash, up through '96, for easier access of the release button for the **** & shaft.
I don't have a '97 or later so I don't know how they are configured.
