broken inside door handle 1996 jeep cherokee
I have a right hand drive jeep cherokee 1996...today I pulled the handle on the inside door (for me its the drivers side - normally the passenger side). I heard a snap and now the door handle just flops freely.
I can still open the door from the inside and also from the outside. Can anyone tell me what the part is to fix it, and HOW to fix it?
Because I get in and out of the car multiple times a day delivering mail, I need to have this fixed ASAP. Thanks!!

How do I fix the spring? Is it something I can do myself? And is it something that, if not fixed, will cause the door to not open or is this more cosmetic than anything? Is the actual name for it return spring?

My driver's side did the same thing last year. I haven't gotten around to fixing it.
The spring just returns the inside handle. You can push it into the pocket yourself.
