Broken Gas Gauge Help

I broke my gas gauge when i took off my dash. Is there a way to fix this so it will work agian? I just brok the thin pin where it sticks in so it can spin around. Just wondering if there is an easy repair that may just not realize. Thanks

So its not an easy fix do i need to replace the whole assembly?

Hit the salvage yards- only a few screws to remove them
