Default Broken Engine Mount

A mild bump did this. Also managed to crack my radiator (thanks to the fan) in the same bump, probably as a result of my engine hanging to one side now. Nearly un-drive-able. Regardless, as you might be able to see, bolts are broken off in the block, pretty flush too. Can't grab them with a vicegrip. Probably gotta get a bolt extractor and pray I won't trash the threads. Any words other of wisdom?

A slight bump didnt cause that.. it just finished it off. You have a manual transmission?

Leave the extractor for last resort, try to get in there with a sharp pointed punch towards an outside edge of the broken bolt and see if you can tap it around far enough to get a grip on it to remove.

You may need to remove the header to get room to work.

My son pulled into the driveway with this same issue last summer.. i just swapped in another lower mileage engine i had in garage.

Had that happen on my '94, I'm pretty good with a welder and i just welded to the end of the bolts till i could grab em with vicegrips, worked like a charm. If you try this tho, careful not to weld the bolt to the block!
