Breaking down while driving

So the other day while I was driving, one side of the bar holding up my tranny and transfer case unbolted and shut the car down. I was able to strap it up enough to get me to work and back. I got it rebolted, and back in place. But now at random time the Jeep will just shut off completely, sometimes it will start right back up, but not usually. I don't know when to expect it, It just happens while I'm driving. Battery is connected, and as far as I can see, everything is where it should be. If anybody has had this problem, please let me know how to fix it, it's really getting on my nerves, and I'm constantly late now cause of it. It's a 1999 Cherokee sport, thanks!

You mean the crossmember bar unbolted on one side and the tranny dropped down a bit? If so, I would check the CPS wiring and the NSS wiring too. Maybe idle in park, with safety brake on and wheels chucked, and start wiggling cables to see if it shuts down.

Yes, the crossmember unbolted.
Where do I find the CPS and NSS wires?

The CPS is near the top of the bell housing driver side. In the engine bay the harness connection comes up from the bell housing and connects somewhere near the fuel rail. You'll see a wire coming up from behind the intake manifold, bellhousing.

The NSS harness wire/connection is on the passenger side of the engine bay and the connection is near the oil dip stick. The NSS itself is below on the side of the transmission.

Can't think of any other wiring down there that might cutoff the engine but look for other loose wiring or undone connections.

Ok, I'll check that and see if it works, thanks!

So I played with all the wires, and the car didn't shut off at all, anything else you can think of?

Have you tried pulling codes?
