Brake Squeal help
If anyone remembers in the past i have always had a brake squeal problem and can never find the culprit. It squeals from about 25 mph to complete stop. I put new pads rotors and calipers on it to begin with. Squealed! Then new pads again, Squealed! Then grease and disk brake quiet on every contact point, I mean i have greased everything besides the surface in between the pad and rotor, Still Squealed! Then i had the rotors turned. Squealed! Then i upgraded again to ceramic non squeal pads, Still Squealing!
Question today is could i have possibly bought two bad rotors? When i had the rotors turned, it went away for a couple stops. Then back to full force.
Also could bad wheel bearings be the cause?
Things that may help your thinking:
I got stuck one day in water and sand and the squealing went away for a couple days.
Its just coming from the front
I adjusted the rear bc i thought the front brakes might have been doing all the work to stop the jeep. Still Squeal.
I'm up for anything, Maybe theres a trick out there like if you change your dome light, the brakes will stop squealing, lol.
Thanks

i would start by checking your headlight fluid. then your muffler bearing might be going out which has been known to cause brake squeeling.....

it's going to sound dumb, but have you tried the anti squeal spray from the auto parts store. It's specifically made to stop squeal and only like 4 bucks a can worth a shot.

Yeah i have tried the disk brake quiet stuff. Its the red tacky film. I sprayed it everywhere besides pad and rotor surface. I have also looked for a metal on metal contact point. You know where it would look like fresh metal, And havent seen anything. Also i bent the splash guards back a little thinking the downward force of braking made them contact the rotor. Nothing.

2 things I have noticed that would cause this, one being a leaky rear brake line, and the second is just a quick fix. When my 2000 does it I heat the brakes up (go like 30 mph and ride on the brakes for a short time) It should take it away till they cool then repeat it. but thats just for a quick fix. I cannot figure out the culprit but I have been told it is because of the humidity and, I live in a swampy area so it humid here.
