Default brake question

I put new pads on front brakes. no problems at all putting them on went for a test drive thing stops on a dime. Then a few hours later I went out and when turning the wheel(say hand at 12) to the left( about9) and to the right(about 3) I can hear something rub in the left tire. the faster i go faster the sound. So at one point in tire rotation something is rubbing and idk what. I havent taken the tire off again to check yet ( too freakin cold out) but any ideas what i should be looking for while im in there. Ill tighten the caliper bolts but other then that idk.

1st, be carefull not to overtighten the caliper bolts. They dont take much to strip.

Check the dust shield behind the rotor to make sure it's not rubbing againt the rotor.

Check the caliper and brake pads themselves for being seated properly. I once did a disc pad swap in a hurry and didnt seat the inner pad correctly on the caliper slide (where square notch is on end of pad) and it moved around a bit and could hear a rattle sound.

Lug nuts tight?

Hub bearing or that ujoint you mention being bad?

While driving it and as you apply the brakes does the brake pedal feel as though it's pulsating? Out of round rotor perhaps?
