I recently just got an 88 Cherokee and I'm having problems with the breaks. When the car is running there is no brake pressure the car will stop but no pressure builds. I bled all the lines and it builds pressure before I start it but as soon as it running the pressure is gone. I got a new master cylinder but haven't put it's on yet figured I'd get some insight on what you guys think it might be.

 

May have bad wheel cylinders. My 89 has one leaking been leaking awhile .just haven't replaced it yet ,its $10 autozone

 

Yea that the other thing I heard so I'm thinking I might try and replace those before the master cylinder?

 

early xj have crappy brake when ther good ,only way to have good brake with big tires is up grade the booster and master

 

Yeah try that ,you might beable to see if its leaking, mine runs down passenger tire
