Anyone ever had their brake lights go OUT when you push hard on the brakes? like anything more than a light press makes them go out, so when im stopping they STOP working...

I am going to replace the brake light switch but any other ideas?

 

I had the same issue, after replacing the brake light switch i found it was the connectors, one pink and one blue coming off the brake switch. (there is also a second set of connectors if you have cruise control.) the old plastic had finally given and wasnt making a good connection anymore, despite it looking fine. i replaced with blue crimp spade connectors. works great. HTH!
