Default Brake light switch

OK so I new to the jeep thing... I have a 1988 jeep pioneer 4×4 and I have rebuilt it basically from the ground up at first it was going to be just oh hey let's go play at the river and who cares what happened. Well yea it's street legal all except for the brake lights... Now there is the brake switch that is on the pedal and a two wire plug in (blue and pink wire) that is suppose? To plug into the switch now then my problem is I plugged it in the fuse is good. Why don't I have brake lights... There are three other wire hanging in the same area ( blue/yellow a black and another light blue and pink)( said three meant four) can anyone help me with this please wiring is not my calling I promise
