I have a dark fluid I just saw on my rear driver's side shock. I recently had to refill all of my brake fluid. I was wondering if you guys think that might be whats on my shock? I might have to get down there when it's brighter out. I didn't really have enough light to check it out but thought I'd see what you guys have to say. Do you think it might be the brake line? I hope that's not too hard to replace if that's what it is. thanks for any insight you guys might have.

Im almost completely positive that its brake fluid if you had to refill it just alittle while ago. That would signal a leak. Probably something small which caused it to leak slow, look at the line and see if its damp, brake fluid shouldnt be dark, it should be relatively clear, kind of like new motor oil.
It could be the shock is going bad. where is the fuild at (is it at the bottom or the top of the shock). If it at the bottom of the shock the seal inside the shock could be going bad.
Having to refill the break fluid could be cause your pads and shoes are wearing out. How much fluid did you have to put in the master cylinder
