Default Brake Dragging

Oh ffs another problem. ok so i was out and about driving and such and as im coming up to the stop light i smell a badly burning brake but then i notice the car in front of my is in very rough shape and figured it was his car. ok whatever i continue to drive for a few more miles and the car turns away and i continue smelling the brake...... ok m-maybe its just sticking around and didnt air out yet. coming up to the stop light i notice my brakes felt different and then low and behold smoke pouring from my right front tire. what would cause a dragging brake? this is the first time i took it out on a hot hot day and for more than 30 minutes. im thinking maybe my brake line is collapsed but then again it may be the caliper. i went to a friends house for a few hours and during the drive i noticed the brake was grabbing more and more as i had to lay into the gas more then around the corner i let it coast into the front of his house and it stopped on its own without me hitting the brakes. then after the few hours i came back and tried it out and the brake wasnt sticking anymore i moved it with no struggles in neutral and just took it back home just now. the rim isnt hot on that side but you can sorta smell the burning brake smell if you sniff deep into it. the drivers side was hotter than that side when i checked so im suspecting a collapsed brake line. and also since it was that hot what kinda damage am i suspecting? im sure i baked the grease inside the bearing but what other damage could happen? when it happened his house was only about a mile away so i limped it there.

Most likely either the caliper itself or the flexible line between the hard line and the caliper. I have had both fail. I have had calipers stick much more frequently than the flexible lines fail though.

My calipers stuck on my 99 after I put new pads on. Fun fun
My soft lines are original.
