Default brake booster no idle

I have a 90 Cherokee when I bought it a couple months ago it needed to brake booster replaced which the person gave me a new one and since I've had it it starts and dies and won't idle untill warmed up and even then isles really bad well I finally replaced the booster and started it with the hose from the booster to manifold disconnected and it starts and idles but it idles around 1000-1100 but once I reconnect the hose or even plug the hose to the manifold with my finger it dies this is my first jeep so I need help

Congratulations on your XJ! The Renix is a lot of fun, or so I'm told.

Go into the Tech Writeups section and look for Cruiser's Mostly Renix Tips. A clogged CCV and dirty sticky Idle Air Control valve, part of the throttle body, will cause this. Refreshing these is discusse there.

Plus a ton of other fixes!

Yeah but why would it make the much of a difference if it's disconnecting the it will idle and not die

When its disconnected its drawing air thru the tube ,which inturn mixes with fuel and idles. . Sounds like a non functioning IAC Motor or circuit to it .

No Silver Bullet cure here.

Go to the Tips below and do # 11 next. It's gonna be a bit of a process, but worth it.

Ok I cleaned the whole TB and iac and cleaned up the grounds and it still doesn't want to idle unless it basically has a vacuum leak
