bottomed out, now leaking
so i sat my jeep on the frame going over a small hill and now there is a leak from my trans. I have fluid running down passenger side of trans and dripping off the trans cross member, I cant see where its leaking but looks like its coming from the top of the trans??? Any ideals??

lol if it has a trans cooler it is not mounted anywhere near radiator, If i get off work in time today I may jack it up and see if I can figure our where its leaking..... I really hope I didnt crack my trans if thats even possible.

well, if the front suspension bottomed out, it would essentially push the driveshaft into the t-case, that or the rear suspension compressing could push the rear shaft into the t-case. i've seen it happen where the driveshaft would push through the t-case cracking the case in half.
or, if you bottomed out on the t-case, it could stress crack the transmission on top from the way it would want to fold, using the trans mount/crossmember as a pivot point.
but hopefully, you just pinched a line somewhere.
i'd start by removing the rear shaft, drop the crossmember and carefully lower the tranny (using a jack, obviously) to inspect the top of the tranny.
don't lower it too much, you might stress out the motor mounts and tear them in half.
