When I swapped older parts onto my 96, there were mounting locations that were totally off even though the lines were the same on the XJ. That being said, you can make any year work if you're wiling to think a bit more. The front clip may require a bit of drilling, but if you get a new one of those (and use the swapped brackets to fit) it would go a ton smoother. I wish I knew what year parts I got at the JY but they were just stacked in a pile and the donor was no where to be seen.

Hope that helps and feel free to ask me any more questions about it.

if u've got a '92 the '91-'96 body panels/doors will be a perfect fit for mounting. anything 94-96 will have a lil different back hatch due to the addition of the 3rd brake light. and 97+ well, good luck its do-able just a lil bit of work

Thanks for all the advice guy's. I'm finding that the older XJ's are more available here in San Diego. I'm probably going to find an 88 or 89 to cannabalize. I will keep you updated:cheers:
