Could you just take it off and heat it up somehow, set on it's side and let gravity reshape it? Or would it be better to just peel it off and replace it with a straight one, either from a jy or new?

Take it off, let it sit out in the sun on a warm day, you can use something to weight down the molding and help flatten it out. Clean off the back side of the molding and door, re-tape it with some 3M double sided trim tape and call it a day.

Or you can pull them all off. I took the molding off my '00 to do some body work, because it was starting to peel off in a couple places, and I was going to repaint the grayed out molding with some Krylon Fusion. Been awhile since I took it off and have not repainted the pieces yet. Looking at the Jeep without them for some time now and might just leave them off like other people have done. It looks OK both ways to me. Sooner or later I will decide which way to go.

I pulled mine off and it had rust that was starting to eat my door behind the trim.

Previous removed the trim on mine and I love the look.

Anyone have pics of what mine would look like w/o the panels? It's a 96.

this is as close to yours as i can find. but you get the idea.
i vote to remove it too, unless you are going for the complete stock look.

That's it actually, still wanting to keep the stock look for a little while longer. Lifted it def looks better with em off though.

Peeled all of mine. Shot everything from that body line down with bedliner

I'm not really big on cosmetics, as you can see here the (self taping) screw I put in mine last year has rusted. (just now noticed it taking the pic). If I DID care I suppose I could use a black screw, ('s).
