Will the body panels from a 97+ cherokee fit a 95 Xj if you change evrything including fenders, headerpanel. grill, lights, etc. ? Would anything else have to be changed or modified for these to fit? How bout the hood?

yup, but stock hood will work, so will the stock fenders. they just won't be rounded at the top, so there will be a slight noticeable difference from the header panel to the fenders.
really, all you need is the header panel with lights, grill etc.
great swap, freshens the whole jeep up.
you could do the header, fenders and even the front doors to make it look that much better. just the doors will need a re fitment of the striker. lots of write ups on the web.
