Blown Rear Axel Seal
Went out to my jeep this morning and found a puddle about 6 inches in diameter underneath my rear axel, wiped some up with my finger and smelled it and it is most definitely axle grease and its coming from where the driveshaft mates to the pumpkin. How hard of a job is this and where can I find the parts for it because i checked autozone out and all i found was a seal for a dana/spicer 44. Any help???

you need a pinion seal its not hard but it will take some specialty tools to check you r gears after the install i would recomend checking them before and after to make sure they dont change there are a few writeups on this subject just search and you will find something

The biggest issue is you have to pattern your gears,if you are not familiar with this it would be best to have someone that does to help. Just getting the nut off can be a chore if you do not have the tools, like an impact. I think the nut is torgue to 140lbs. It is an easy process if you have the tools and know how.
