i am also, in my bmw. also swapping to e30 m3 seats, which are just freaking badass and hold you like a glove through the turns.

i have a set of factory recaros i keep imagining in my cherokee. i love how those fit when sitting in them. if i had a black interior in the cherokee, i would put them in

You right I actually had red interior in the stang I painted and dyed it black w new seats and headliner it looks sooo sick. Comeon who's got a black interior cherk??

you know what are very nice sport mustang gt seats? the mid 80s (86, i think) with the adjustable thigh bolsters. i bought some from a dude for 50 bucks that were grey with red piping and they are very very comfortable and are actually great for autocross driving. the thigh support and alt support is surprisingly well made and shaped very good for the average sized person. plus, the bottom support is very heavy duty and hasn't lost any height yet. if my 82 bmw wasn't going to up for sale, i would put my recaros in that and think about putting htose mustang seats into the cherokee

A few XJ's came with Black interior. I had a factory black interior in my MJ. But if you insist on "painting" your interior black, use SEM interior products. I used it on a grey center console, and it turned out amazing. It never scratched or faded or anything.

Here is a pic of the interior of my MJ. That center console used to be grey.

that's one of the things i am doing in mine as well: black and red.

if you want to paint the interior, you are going to want something that after it settles and cures will resist heat. so far i have used the DupliColor interior paint on some of my plastic trim parts, and it held up in the summer on those 90 degree days with closed windows without chipping, cracking, or getting runny. i'm hesitant to use them though on seats, even though it says you can. i don't want to find out later that it peels onto my cloths when i get out on a warm day. but, if it won't run or crack on the plastic trim, then it should be more than safe to use on the seats and what not.

basically what i am doing on mine is black canvas headliner, truck bed line the floor, and the dash and other trim pieces are getting some black, mostly red, and few silver trim highlights. i've got a few parts done, but still have a ways to go.
