Best sway bar quick disconnects?
I have a stock 2000 XJ I'm looking to build the heck out of, but for starters until I have the $$ to really get started on the project, I need to get something figured out for swaybar disconnects (front and rear). I would like to build my own if I can get the right parts to keep them from rattling around too much while connected, but I wouldn't be entirely opposed to buying some either if I can find some for a good price. If anybody has any personal advice or links to articles for good home made ones, or links to buy some decent ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, mucho apprecio!!

as for the rear, if you don't tow trailers or boats or other heavy stuff, you can ditch it all together, i don't know of anyone running swaybar disco's in the rear of an XJ. the homemade ones will get the job done and not cost you too much, but as for good brands if you wanna buy, definitely JKS IMO.

Well I definitely don't have a boat that I tow around, but I do have a small utility trailer, it probably weighs less than 1000 lbs. Think it will still be ok on the highway? As far as the front goes, thanks for the link! I think I'll give it a go and see how they do!

My XJ came with the class 3 receiver from the factory and has NO rear sway bar....You wont need it........as for the front you can get a set of RE Disconnects for around 30 Bucks...or if you have the $$ JKS adjustable Discos.....

I use Skyjacker double discos, and I love them. Being able to disconnect at both ends make disconnecting and reconnecting fast and painless. One tip: wrap electrical tape around the pin so the pin can't slide back and forth. Easy in, easy out.
