Default Best mechanical fan shroud available?

I've been hunting around. I've found an old zombie thread about replacing the fan shroud. But nothing on which of the many options that are currently available out there is the BEST.

Here's one from CarParts.com for $25 bucks

RockAuto... $15 bucks

Autoparts Warehouse.. $38 bucks

Aaaand this one from Morris 4x4.. $32 bucks..

The list goes on. Obviously. There are the big chain autoparts stores and Amazon and ebay and so on and so forth.

Prices seem okay. But what I DON'T want. Is to order the fan and get a flimsy, lightweight, piece-of-donkey-dung-garbage with flashing all over the place from the cheap mold that was used and then find that the shroud has shrunken or warped after de-molding. So I end up with a useless piece of plastic sitting in my twitching enraged palms.

So.. other then from the dealer.. who makes the best one? Any of you purchased one recently?.. how did it fit?.. where did you get yours? Do you like it? Hate it?

Tell me.

I got one from eBay for $20 or so and it seems better made than the stock one, all it is is a piece of plastic, no reason to overthink or overpay for it.

yah.. well.. I've received some real pieces of garbage over the past few years. Would rather steer clear of the sellers who peddle junk if I can.

So. yah.. who sold you the one you got? I'll go hit them up.

If you click the down window it has you choose from [Regular Inventory] ($15.34) or [OE New] ($35.79)

Did not realize. Just went with the 52027501, LHD, listing underneath and saw that. Now I don't feel so bad spending the $35. I did not pay any shipping. The other part number 52028324 is the RHD one. Trying to picture why there would be a RHD version.

Edit: Just realized that that the PS pump is probably on the Right in a RHD one huh. Then again maybe not.

Weirdly..it isn't. PS pump is in the same place as LHD. The alternator and the aircon compressor are swapped over but the thing you'd expect to move - hasn't .
AMC just loved messing with us. 😀

You can still use the left-handed drive power steering pump but you’ll have to do some hose modification
