best junkyard drive shaft swap canidates
So I'm trying to find a list of good drive shafts that can be swapped into the rear of an XJ with an SYE installed.
I have a '91 XJ with a manual (ax-15) transmission, np231 with a soon to be installed SYE and 7 inches of lift.
I'm trying to save a few bucks and use a front drive shaft for the rear. I just don't have 300+ bucks to buy a custom drive shaft at the moment.
Does anyone have a link or measurements/specs on drive shafts from other Jeep vehicles that can be good canidates for the rear of my '91 5 speed? I know I'm probably gonna have to do some fabrication and or have a shop balance the end result. But from what I've researched on the net and through forums, it is cheaper if you have decent fab skills.
I already have spare front and rear drive shafts from a '91 (automatic) Cherokee. Can I make one of these work?
Also, are manual cherokee drive shafts longer or shorter than automatic drive shafts?
Thanks

I have the AX-15 in my cherokee and a spare front drive-shaft from an AW4 equipped cherokee. So from what I'm reading... my spare AW4 front drive-shaft might be long enough for the rear? Say 6-7 inches? Or is it not long enough cause I have the AX-15.
