Best fan clutch for the money?
The temp climbs slowly on my 2000 XJ when I知 trailing or idling for a while, and the only cooling component that isn稚 new is the fan clutch. So I知 looking to replace it, but I知 seeing terrible reviews on the clutches from autozone and advance auto.
I知 not opposed to ordering one online, but before I go look for one, I was wondering if there was anyone who has a recommendation on where to get a decent one/what brand to get?
Thanks!

X2 for the Napa fan clutch. Also test the resistance of the electric fan when hot. Mine was 26kohms and still came on.

Actually, I just put a junkyard electric fan on mine because it was missing the electric fan and the fan shroud for some reason. However, I don稚 really think it works because I致e never seen or heard it come on. Is there anything you know that I could check to make sure nothing is wrong with it?

If the fuse is good, unplug the fan and jump it directly to the battery. It should spin. If not, it is dead.

That's is a good fan clutch ( 4cyl XJ ) but the fan on the xj is weak . They make Plastic fans with more blades that will pull more air . I was reading someones build web page and they installed a different fan on the fan clutch and they said it pulled almost 2x the amount of air the stock fan would pull , they also said it pulled so much air that the electric fan all most did not come on . The only problem is I can not find the web page again , I'm asking have anybody else know what plastic fan with more blades will fit a xj ?

I tried to swap in the ZJ/4cyl fan. I was pressed for time, and I wasn't able to get really into the job. It wouldn't clear the studs and the rad. I couldn't attempt to push the rad forward at all. It will go in there , but you need to pull the studs to get it in there. I have fresh engine mounts.
