Default Sharp loud rattle at start up

Hi all new here had my 2000 xj for a while now and the other day it just started this rattle the engine did have a rebuild a fair while ago so am hoping the new pistons haven't broken a skirt. Anyway the sound is ugly it's only at start up and if I let the engine settle to idle and give it a light sharp blip it will create the sound otherwise it's totally quite through the revs oh and still have great oil pressure any help appreciated I did go through vids and the search options but haven't heard anything with the same sound

You expect us to read that?
We're anxious to help and all, but don't torture us with that crap of no punctuation.

might be a lifter

try an engine stethoscope to see if you can pin down the noise a bit

might just be some bearing in the pulleys, A/C etc etc

While you're at it, check your motor/trans mounts. Perhaps the exhaust is banging against something or the mech fan is touching the shroud.

He/she is long gone. Most likely because I commented on their lack of punctuation making it difficult for us to provide real good free help...........
Perhaps they will find a site that posts are done like texting your BFF and dispenses poor info.

This one wasn't even too bad...because it was short.
Tried plowing through the first post in this one and gave up...

Or this one! First sentence sounded promising! But alas...

Why torture those who you're asking for free help?

And right now. That's why I cut them little slack when I come across those threads.
