Default bent steering box?

Ok so this is an update to me slamming my front end into a stump. I knew i messed up the drag link so i put the new one in. when i brought it in for an alignment, my buddy said i also bent my steering box. which would make sense. but i dont see how you could really bent it... i mean wouldnt it just mess up the mounting hole badly or something. Also how hard is it to install one of these things if i opt for the new one?>

you could have damaged the worm gear/ sector shaft i suppose. replacement is pretty easy.. and fairly cheap

3 bolts, pitman arm removal with a puller and 1 clamp on the steering shaft. Super easy and takes about an hour. Doubt it's bent maybe damaged but no way you bent the shaft the pitman arm bolts to.
