belt squeaking

I have a '92 jeep cherokee laredo 4wd and Just recently I replaced my alternator and belt (and battery) and the belt squeaks bad when I turn my AC on. So naturally I thought to tighten my belt and it doesn't have a constant squeak anymore but it still squeaks... any help?

Are you sure it's the belt and not the idler bearings? Did it squeak before the alternator and belt replacement?

No it didn't squeak before the replacement. Would it need to be tensioned better? How can I do that?

Is the belt routed correctly?

Yes, everything runs fine. It's just the squeak.. I can't put my finger on it.

Is the belt glazed? Is it aligned on the pulleys good, I know I have a slight side to side I can make on my 99 on the idler pulley, not sure if the earlier tension setup allows that small bit of play, and last but not least, are you SURE the tension is good? Just enough deflection to twist the belt 90degrees should be in about the right range.

Tension is adjusted through the power steering pump.
