Bellhousing leaking again
Ok so, XJ had no reverse swapped trans... New trans started leaking from bellhousing, no problem. Replaced pump seal and torque converter seal... Started leaking 1 mile later.. wtf... So I'm going to try to use my old torque convertor. And go from there. I have no idea what else could be leaking. Any input would be swell...

Bad front pump bushing ?

You sure its trans fluid and not oil from the rear main seal?
|
It's cherry red :(
I was considering it was the bushing... What are the odds, are they a pretty common failure point on a trans with under 80k miles? |
And thanks for the quick replies!

See that's my issue :/ I pulled the trans from my buddy's jeep. That had around 76k.... Now all of this nonsense. I harvest my old trans pump and torque convertor. So I'm going to go ahead and throw those on my leaking trans... And see if that changes anything. Unless someone has a walk through on the front pump bushing. That's the only thing I haven't done on the transmission. front half anyway.
